Crazy, Windy 2019 Sunfish Bowl: David Belleville Comes Out On Top.

Sailors who were praying for big wind got more than they bargained for in the 2019 Sunfish Bowl, with southwest winds hitting 23 mph, turning a festive day on the water to more of a "Victory at Sea" survival contest. Yet the best sailors rose to the top, with David Belleville and Peter McIlroy fighting all day for the overall Sunfish Bowl trophy. David won the first, slightly calmer race, with Peter close behind, and Peter took the second, even windier race, with Peter's 3rd-place finish in the first race making the difference. Damp, breathless capsizers included old vets like Doug McIlroy and Tiff Ford, and a few sailors came out to race, but decided that the conditions were just a bit too rugged for them. Rebecca Belleville and Hunter Belleville put in a great performance, looking much calmer than the conditions would suggest, Paul Belleville showed that he's been listening to his brother David's sailing advice, and Commodore Tom Tys stayed on his boat to finish a hard-earned 4th place.
